A day after Diwali, Delhi was wrapped in a blanket of smog as the air quality on Tuesday remained in the "very poor" category with the overall air quality index (AQI) 323.
Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai said, "First phase of 'Red Light On Gaadi Off' campaign will run from October 28 to November 28.
He said a joint meeting with senior officials of the Environment and Revenue Departments and the Delhi Police was held over the implementation of the 'Red Light on Gaadi off’ drive.
Rai said that till now Delhi government and various agencies were involved in the war against pollution, today we are reaching out to two crore people of Delhi to participate in this fight.
