As per the eligibility prescribed under the NFS Act 2013, 5 kg of food grains was given free of cost to the needy people, including migrant workers, unorganized workers, construction workers, domestic helpers who do not have ration cards. Under this scheme, four kg of wheat and one kg of rice are included per person per month.
A bench headed by Chief Justice SA Bobde and comprising of Justices AS Bopanna and V Ramasubramanian said, "The matter is too serious. We have to hear it."
The non-ration card holders of the district can call on 9018249426 or 8825010324 to raise their requests.
The new form (Form 10) will be available in the department’s website and camps will be organised to help people to fill up the forms.
