Legal experts are of the view that lower conviction rate is a worrying development in the state.
The National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) in its 2021 annual report, released yesterday, statistically charted the desert state with as many as 6,337 rape cases, 1,027 cases more than the preceding year, 2020, and 340 more than in 2019.
"I have found from other similar matters that the said Dr Santi Prasad Sinha as one of the king pins of this corruption of giving illegal public appointments" the court stated.

According to reports, the government will set up 144 fast track courts to hear rape cases and 74 courts to hear matters related to crimes against children.
