Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale has invited Akash Anand to join his Republican Party of India (Athawale) after being sacked from the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).
"If opposition parties want to come together, they can. PM Modi alone is enough to take on all of them. NDA is really strong under the leadership of PM Modi," Union Minister said
Ramdas Athawale is a prominent Dalit leader. He is the president of the Republican Party of India (RPI) and a member of the Rajya Sabha.
Mr Athawale mentioned that there was a time in the market when the gold prices were not more than 5 to 6 thousand rupees, and as per today’s statistics, the prices have risen to a whopping 52 thousand per gram. Surely, the Indians do love their gold too much to pay such a price.
'Nobody should take a position that's detrimental to national unity,' a statement quoted Athawale as saying.
At a public meeting of the RSS in Hyderabad on Wednesday, Mohan Bhagwat had said that all those who have nationalistic spirit, respect India’s culture and heritage are part of Hindu society.
'This is a big setback and a lesson for the Shiv Sena which was not willing to form government with the BJP,' says Union Minister Ramdas Athawale
The BJP and Shiv Sena are locked in a battle over sharing of power in the next government as Sena continues to demand the post of Chief Minister on a rotational basis.
Mayawati had at a rally in Varanasi on Thursday, launched a personal attack on the PM saying that one cannot expect Modi to respect women since he cannot respect his own wife.
Athawale said on Monday that Mayawati should reconsider her new-formed alliance with SP reminding the BSP chief of the support that BJP had given her when she became CM.
