The BJP has named Arun Sao, and Vijay Sharma as the two Deputy Chief Minister's in Chhattisgarh.

After the Supreme Court rejected the NIA's petition regarding the investigation in the Jheeram Ghati massacre case, former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Raman Singh asserted that the matter will be investigated immediately after the formation of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in the state.
The High Court said that allegations were not duly supported by documents and evidence and the Court proceedings were misused.
Former Chief Minister Raman Singh said that Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and TS Singh Deo had demanded an inquiry into the PDS scam when they were not in power.
The state government, in its appeal, contended that the high court erroneously granted interim relief sought by Singh by staying the investigation arising out of the FIR.
The Court stated that the offence under Sections 504 and 505 are not made out since public peace or tranquility was not affected by the tweet.
“Mr Modi is talking about cooperative federalism but they are actually doing coercive centrism,” All India Congress Committee (AICC) communication in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala said here during an interaction with media persons here.
While the state Congress leaders hailed the Cabinet expansion for giving representation to leaders from all sections and regions, the opposition BJP said it showed "differences" within the ruling party.
