Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed confidence that they will uphold the glorious tradition of the party.
The minister said that he has gone into self-quarantine from 4 pm on Tuesday. He reasoned that Raina 'had accompanied us from Srinagar to Bandipora on 12th July.'
He further said that India must show the same assertiveness on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China as it has shown on the Line of Control (LoC) with Pakistan, simply to protect its 'self respect' and defend its land 'till the last inch'.
Asserting that the Citizenship Amendment Act only fast-tracked grant of citizenship to minorities from neighbouring countries, he said the protests against it were not happening for 'valid reasons and they are misinformed.'
He asserted that Indian citizenship rules are "non-discriminatory" and allow outsiders to become citizens after different periods of stay here. He noted that the latest amendment to the Citizenship Act, 1955, is for refugees who arrived in India by December 31, 2014.
Jharkhand results were below our expectations, said Ram Madhav.
Several politicians including former chief ministers Mehbooba Mufti and Omar Abdullah are under house arrest since August 5.
Talking to media persons, Madhav said, “Whatever is happening in Karnataka is happening because of the ambitions of certain leaders of their own parties. There are leaders who are engineering dissent in the two parties. BJP has no involvement."
On Sunday, most exit polls conducted by different organisations gave the BJP-led NDA full majority, even as opposition parties dismissed the predictions.
