Speaking at the event, he emphasized that technology is a key factor behind rapid changes across various fields, noting the competitive race among nations to master niche technologies like Artificial Intelligence, which are crucial in the current geopolitical landscape
During his visit, he toured key facilities such as the Heat Treatment and New Assembly Shop, assessing crucial indigenous defence capabilities. He was joined by Secretary of Defence Production Sanjeev Kumar and Dr. Samir V. Kamat, Secretary of Defence R&D and Chairman of DRDO.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has emphasized that the North East's progress is integral to India’s holistic development, highlighting the government’s commitment to bolstering the region’s economic, cultural, and natural strengths.
Accompanied by Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi and other senior military officials, Singh commended the courage and resilience of soldiers who safeguard India’s borders under challenging conditions.
Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh while interacting with J&K BJP leaders here on Sunday stressed further strengthening the party before the assembly elections.
The Defence Minister met family members of security personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty and also honoured them.
This comes after AAP's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh criticised the central government for asking for caste and religious certificate in order to register for the Agnipath programme.
Army Chief Manoj Pande, Navy chief Admiral R Hari Kumar, and Other senior officials of the tri-services were also present at the meeting.
Rajnath pointed out that AI has built inroads in almost every sector, including defence, health & medicine, agriculture, trade & commerce, and transport.
