Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday addressed the Air Force Commanders' Conference (AFCC) at Air Headquarters here, where he stressed the need for enhanced efficiency in defence capability building.
Singh will also engage in bilateral talks with counterparts from countries including the USA, China, Australia, Japan, Lao PDR, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, and South Korea.
Emphasizing that defence must evolve beyond reactive measures, Singh described adaptive defence as an approach that focuses on anticipating potential threats and preparing proactively.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has emphasized that the North East's progress is integral to India’s holistic development, highlighting the government’s commitment to bolstering the region’s economic, cultural, and natural strengths.
Accompanied by Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi and other senior military officials, Singh commended the courage and resilience of soldiers who safeguard India’s borders under challenging conditions.
