Leader of Opposition in Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), Raja Iqbal Singh on Monday slammed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-led civic body for announcing house tax relief for Delhi residents and termed it “hollow”.
Hinting that the saffron party may form its Mayor in the House, Singh mentioned that the party will serve the people of Delhi and complete the stalled works of the AAP government whenever they get a chance.
Leader of the Opposition in Municipal Corporation of Delhi, Sardar Raja Iqbal Singh on Thursday welcomed the proposal by the Corporation Commissioner Ashwani Kumar for not imposing any new tax while he presented the revised budget estimate for the year 2024-25 and the budget estimate for 2025-26 in the House.

Singh said that the party opens its “store of false promises” during election times to mislead the public and secure their votes.
Singh claimed that the population of stray animals has significantlyincreased after the AAP came to power.
Iqbal informed that a meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-ruled ward committee chairmen would be held on Thursday. But before that, a special time should be fixed by them during this week to listen to public problems.
“The AAP has no interest in Delhi's development. For 18 months, they prevented the formation of the Standing Committee (MCD), thus halting Delhi's developmental activities. Not only this, they also destroyed the cleanliness system of Delhi,” he said.
