PM Meloni noted that the threats posed by climate change, terrorism, war and rapid digital transformations could only be addressed by greater international resolve.
Giorgia Meloni will be the chief guest and the keynote speaker at the inaugural session of the eighth Raisina Dialogue.
The Ministry of External Affairs is organising the event in collaboration with the Observer Research Foundation (URF) from March 2-4.
The dialogue, which was held virtually last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will be held in in-person format this year.
Norwegian Foreign Minister Anniken Huitfeldt along with a high-level business delegation will visit India from April 25-27 to take part in Raisina Dialogue.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on Sunday met his Argentine counterpart Santiago Cafiero, who is in India to participate in the Raisina Dialogue.
"As per established practices and procedures within SCO, all eight members, four observer states and other international dialogue partners will be invited to the meeting,” External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said when asked if the Pakistani PM would be invited.
"India and Brazil should absolutely be at the UNSC. Developing countries should be given adequate representation there,” Russia Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, observing that developed countries have not paid heed to the demands of developing countries.
Addressing a gathering at the Raisina Dialogue in Delhi, Jaishankar referred to tensions between the US and Iran and said they are two individualistic countries and what finally happens will depend on the players involved.
