Mining major National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) and RailTel Corporation of India signed an agreement covering ICT and Digital Transformation Services of NMDC, both at its Corporate Offices and Mining Complexes, the Ministry of Steel said in a statement.
Edge data centres are small data centres located at the edge of the network passing through small and big towns, cities villages, along the railway track. These edge data centres are proposed to come up ‘closer to end-users and devices’ and are expected to effectively address the delays in communication over a network, from the time of capturing of a packet of data, transmission, processing through multiple devices and its reception at destination and decoding.
Railtel’s offer will comprise of 8.71 crore shares of face value of Rs 10 each.
The last date to submit the proposals is November 28. DIPAM, RAILTEL and the BRLMs (Book Running Lead Managers) will be incurring ad agency’s expense.
