BJP MP Sarangi, who sustained injuries during a scuffle in Parliament on December 19 and was hospitalised, shared his health update with reporters on Monday.
A war of words erupted between the BJP and Congress on Monday after the saffron party castigated Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi for "flying abroad" when India is mourning former prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh's demise.
The just-concluded Winter Session of Parliament was unproductive and the least effective in over a year. It ran from November 25 to December 20 and saw frequent disruptions, including protests and arguments.
The BJP on Saturday hit out at Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of trying to politicise the demise of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.
Attacking the government, Gandhi in a post on X wrote, “The present government has completely insulted Dr Manmohan Singh, the great son of Mother India and the first Prime Minister of the Sikh community, by conducting his last rites at Nigambodh Ghat today.”
Reacting to the move, Congress general secretary in-charge communications Jairam Ramesh, in a tweet on Wednesday, said, "With the expunging of @RahulGandhi's remarks on PM linked Adani MahaMegaScam, deMOcracy was cremated in the Lok Sabha. OM Shanti."
PM said some speeches made on Tuesday were lauded by the their ecosystem and "maybe they slept well and couldn't wake up (on time)".
If Rahul had to level such allegations, he should have submitted them earlier with evidence and documents, said BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad.

Rahul's strategists initially suggested a less strenuous bus tour. But he chose to undergo hardship, like walking thousands of kilometers with blisters on his feet and knee pain, sleeping in a caravan, and roughing it out.
