A Division Bench of the Calcutta High Court on Tuesday fixed 11 March as the tentative deadline for completion of charge-framing at the special court in the alleged financial irregularities case related to the R G Kar Medical College & Hospital in Kolkata.
The five accused in the multi-crore financial irregularities case at state-run R G Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata, including the former principal of the institute Sandip Ghosh, on Tuesday, sought exemption from the case.

Hardly five days after the Sunday evening rally agitating junior doctors and civil society again on Friday brought out two rallies separately in the city shouting slogans demanding justice for the gruesome incident at R G Kar Medical College hospital on 9 August.
The differences of opinion between the representatives of WBJDF and the state government could be felt after the formal meeting, which started at 7.30 p.m. on Wednesday, concluded within little over two hours and the deliberations between the two parties over finalising the minutes of the meeting continued for over three hours after the conclusion of the meeting.
The Supreme Court on Tuesday said that it will pass an injunctive order specifically asking Wikipedia to remove the name, photographs and video clips of the deceased victim in West Bengal’s R.G. Kar Medical College & Hospital incident.
The state government was unwilling to allow the videographer with the delegation into the meeting room.
Till now, WBJDF was being represented by senior advocate at the apex court, Geeta Luthra.
