An official spokesperson said to ensure political reservation rights of Backward Classes (BCs) in the urban local bodies, the Cabinet accepted the Haryana Backward Classes Commission’s report.
Under Section 9 of the Act, the Haryana Backward Classes Commission was assigned to study the progress of social, educational, and economic conditions of the backward classes in the state.
"There are only 7 per cent of people in the government's secretaries coming from OBC, Dalit and Adivasi communities," Gandhi said.
