Kickstarting his four days India visit, Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday. Upon arrival, he received a warm welcome from Union Minister Meenakashi Lekhi.
Dahal will begin his schedule the next day (Thursday) by laying a wreath at the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi at 10.30 am.
Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sewa Lamsal confirmed that preparations have started in the Himalayan country for the visit of Dahal also known as Prachanda.
Responding to a question regarding Nepal's Prime Minister's desire to visit India for his first foreign trip, Bagchi said, "We would be very happy to receive the Prime Minister of Nepal at a suitable convenient date."
The subsequent series of political events that unfolded in recent times blatantly exposed the lack of moral ownership of these demands on the part of the presenters themselves and represented sheer phoniness and political chicanery.
The parliamentary party meeting also removed Oli and installed Prachanda as the party's parliamentary party leader. However, Oli has been claiming that he will face the Parliament and the no-confidence motion.
But with Oli engineering the defection of the vice-chair and persuading another powerful member to sit on the fence, the balance has shifted.
'The Prime Minister's remarks that India was conspiring to remove him was neither politically correct, nor diplomatically appropriate,' former prime minister 'Prachand' said.
In these contexts, the role of the members of parliament representing the ruling party is not to engage in critical parliamentary debates but to limit their capacities to simply pledging unflinching loyalty to the leadership.
