40 CRPF personnel were martyred when their convoy on the Jammu-Srinagar highway was attacked by a vehicle-borne suicide bomber of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terror outfit at Lethpora in Pulwama.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also took to Twitter to say that the nation would never forget the martyrdom of the CPF jawans in the Pulwama incident.

This comes days after a father-daughter duo named Tariq Ahmad Shah and Insha Tariq were arrested on March 3, from Lethpora area for their involvement in the terror attack. These arrests were made on the basis of the revelations done by Shakir Bashir Magrey, another suspect who was arrested by the anti-terror probe agency on February 28.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA), in a statement, said that Chopan was never arrested in the Pulwama attack case.
Parveen Singh, a special NIA judge, in an order pronounced on February 18, observed that accused Yusuf Chopan is entitled to statutory bail.
