The production of some key minerals in India has continued to witness strong growth after reaching record production levels in FY24, the Ministry of Mines said in a statement on Friday.
The report was unveiled by Union Minister of Coal and Mines G Krishna Reddy during the half-yearly review of the coal sector here on Tuesday.

The total domestic coal production in 2022-23, as on 31 May is 137.85 MT, which is 28.6 per cent more as compared to the production of 104.83 MT in the same period of last year. This trend is being maintained in June also.
While Coal India Ltd (CIL) and its subsidiaries produced 534.7 lakh tonnes of coal, production by Singareni Colleries Company Ltd (SCCL) stood at 53.23 lakh tonnes and production from captive mines touched 73.61 lakh tonnes during April.
Production capacity of ethanol in the country has also increased to 825 crore litres as on September 2021, which is sufficient to meet the target of 10 per cent ethanol blending in ESY 2021-22. "This production capacity has further increased to 849 crore litres till March 31 this year," officials said.
