Congress leader Siddaramaiah was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Karnataka for the second time on Saturday after the party's thumping victory in the Assembly elections
A total of 11 MLAs took oath in English. These included MLAs Neeraj Nayyar, Kuldeep Singh Pathania, Hoshiar Singh, RS Bali, Ashish Butail, Bhuvneshwar Gaur, Vinod Sultanpuri, Harish Janartha, Vikramaditya Singh, Nand Lal, and Jagat Singh Negi.
In the year 2004, he contested for the 14th Lok Sabha from Kangra constituency on a Congress ticket and defeated the then Union Minister and former Chief Minister Shanta Kumar.
