Taking a dig at the BJP, she said, “The party need not be thrilled with the outcome of the Lok Sabha elections. The people of the country have completely rejected their slogan of crossing 400.”
The manifesto is a guarantee against the injustice happening in the country, she added.
Pratibha Singh, while talking to reporters here on Wednesday, said that she has decided not to contest the parliamentary elections, as the ground situation was not conducive for the Congress in the state.
Governor RV Arlekar administered the oath of office to them at a formal function being organized at Ridge Maidan in Shimla on Sunday.
“Most of the Congress leaders are out on bail. National Congress President Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul, State President Pratibha Singh and her son Vikramaditya Singh and MLA Asha Kumari are among leaders who are out on bail,” BJP state president, Himachal Pradesh, Suresh Kashyap.
She has said that the Modi government at the Centre cannot influence the judicial system of the country and the Congress has full faith in the judicary of the country.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday, she has asked the government to take stock of the damage and provide financial help to the affected families.
Pratibha Singh further directed the officials of the Transport Department to run additional buses for the remote and inaccessible areas.
If the BJP government does not restore this plaque, then the Congress party will restore the plaque at the same place as soon as it comes into power in Himachal.
