"We firmly believe that prevention is better than cure, and through various awareness campaigns and health education programmes, we are encouraging our citizens to adopt healthier habits and make wellness a way of life," said Pramod Sawant.
"In future during the government job recruitment, previous job experience will be compulsorily sought," CM Sawant.
Earlier, ahead of assembly election in February 2022, the BJP had assured government jobs to the youths of the state. It was BJP's key poll plank.
Pramod Sawant on Tuesday said that his government intends to start a veterinary college and a degree in pisciculture in the coastal state.
Sawant tweeted photos of himself taking blessings from the Ganesh idol installed at the Maharashtra Opposition leader's residence.
"We have to maintain Covid protocol while celebrating the Ganesh festival. The cases are increasing in our neighbouring states like Kerala and Maharashtra," said Goa CM Pramod Sawant.
Speaking about Goa's readiness to handle the third Covid wave, should it strike, Sawant said: "Whatever infrastructure and human required for Covid management, we have fully prepared. We are 100 percent prepared for both".
"Before shaking hands, ask him if he has taken a vaccine or not. That is the need. It is important to ensure that you are secure even before shaking hands with someone. If we ask such a question, we will be able to create awareness among everyone," Pramod Sawant said.
On Wednesday, the state cabinet approved a note, which said that the state treasury would bear the losses and subsidise power bills in the wake of the financial hardships caused by the pandemic.
