The submission was made in response to a defamation suit filed by Sulakshana Sawant, who accused Singh of making defamatory comments during a press conference, where he alleged that she was involved in a "cash-for-jobs scam."

"We firmly believe that prevention is better than cure, and through various awareness campaigns and health education programmes, we are encouraging our citizens to adopt healthier habits and make wellness a way of life," said Pramod Sawant.
"In future during the government job recruitment, previous job experience will be compulsorily sought," CM Sawant.
The fresh induction on Saturday takes the number of ministers in Sawant's cabinet to 12, including the Chief Minister.
Sawant also said that the portfolio allocation process would also be completed by Monday. There is a cap of 12 ministers (including the chief minister) in the Goa cabinet.
He also stated that the swearing-in ceremony would be held as soon as possible, which has been delayed "because of Shigmo Utsav" being celebrated in Goa.
Tourist footfalls to the coastal state have peaked in the wake of Christmas and New Year celebrations.
"A Minister in the Goa government is involved in a sex scandal. By misusing his ministerial status, he has been sexually harassing a woman. When a Minister misuses his status and his power in government sexually exploits a woman, this is a serious issue," Chodankar told a press conference in Panaji on Tuesday.
