The inspector posted in the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) was shot dead at the door of his house late on Sunday night soon after he stepped out of his car to open the doors for his wife and daughter.
A Police Inspector and two jawans were injured when a clash broke out between two communities in this district of the state, police said on Thursday.
Police authorities remained tight-lipped over the verbal duel even as the TDP MP said he would also draw the attention of the government seeking necessary action against the inspector.
