The 8th edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC), Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship initiative, has seen an overwhelming response, with over 3.5 crore students, teachers, and parents registering for the programme. This nationwide movement aims to turn exam-related stress into a celebration of learning, offering a positive and joyful outlook on education.

Gandhi renewed his attack on PM Modi, even as the country witnessed a spurt in COVID-19 cases with over 18,552 fresh cases . The total cases crossed 5 lakh mark with 5,08,953 infections, as India continued to be the fourth worst hit country after US, Brazil and Russia.
'Earlier this year, some people had predicted that the impact of the virus in India would be very severe. Due to lockdown, many initiatives taken by the government and a people-driven fight, India is much better placed than many other nations,' said PM Modi.
'Today when there is a crisis-like situation at the India-China border, the central government cannot shirk its responsibility (of securing them),' she said.
The epicentre of the quake was Champai district of the northeastern state and the tremor was tracked at a depth of 20 km from the earth's surface.
