Taking a dig at the opposition, he said those who imposed the Emergency have no right to profess their love for the Constitution.
For the first time, newly-elected members of the Lok Sabha took oath in the Lok Sabha Chamber of the new Parliament House building. The prime minister was the first to take the oath and was greeted with “Bharat Mata ki Jai” and “Modi, Modi” slogans.
The first session of the 18th Lok Sabha will begin on Monday, which will witness the oath-taking ceremony of newly-elected Members of Parliament, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
