The victim, identified as trainee-pilot Bhavika Rathod, sustained minor injuries in the incident. She was administered first-aid and then taken to a private hospital in Shegaon for treatment.
According to Guangxi's regional emergency management department, the crash took place on a mountain in Tengxian County, causing a huge fire, reports Xinhua news agency.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is understood to have briefed Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the crash.
"This was transported last night by the party. Air India has got no connection whatsoever with the aircraft under any circumstances," an official said.

The flight arriving from Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba went into the river at the end of the runway at about 9:40 p.m. local time, the air station said.
"I think that this boat is sophisticated enough to help us find the CVR (recording of the conversation of the pilots in the cabin."
An Air India aircraft, carrying more than 136 people, Friday landed on a wrong runway at the Male airport in the Maldives, and following the incident two pilots have been taken off duty, officials said.
