Actress Payal Ghosh is set to play a sportswoman in an upcoming Bollywood film 'Red'.
The film is about a journey, quite like Payal's debut feature, The Telugu film "Prayanam".
Payal had a Covid test done after she attended a political event with Union Minister Ramdas Athawale, who has tested positive for the coronavirus.
Payal's lawyer Nitin Satpute took his unverified Twitter account on Monday and shared the letter, which mentions that the accused is "roaming freely" and has not been arrested yet.
On Friday, Payal had claimed on Twitter that the filmmaker has lied before the police while giving his statement. The actress demanded a lie detector, polygraph test and narco analysis be performed on him.
Kashyap appeared before Versova Police on Thursday where he has denied all allegations.
Terming as "absolute lie" that he had called her to his home in August 2013 and 'sexually harassed' her, Kashyap responded to police summons and recorded his statement with the investigating officer on October 1.
Earlier in the day, Kashyap's "Manmarziyaan" heroine Taapsee Pannu lent her support by calling Kashyap the "biggest feminist" she knows.
Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut came out in support of Payal and tweeted demanding Kashyap's arrest.
Her first release was the Telugu film "Prayanam", released in 2009.
