“It is a travesty of human rights history for the last 70 years that a peaceful community of Kashmir, the members of which form the indigenous population of Kashmir –the Kashmiri Pandits, were brutally thrown out of their homeland by the Islamic terrorists and their cohorts about three decades ago.
The rabid communal campaign against the indigenous people, the Kashmiri Pandits, is, unfortunately, unabated till date."
Panun Kashmir also said appointment of Indian representative in the UNHRC in the current context would prove greatly beneficial to the Asia-Pacific Region.
Panun Kashmir has also urged the UN that a special session on the plight of the indigenous people of Kashmir, the Kashmiri Pandits, be organised at UNHRC level so that "our representatives create awareness about our issues at an appropriate level"
