Palam 360 Khap Chaudhary Surendra Solanki met Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora on Wednesday to discuss issues related to law and order, traffic management, and the transfer of Palam Police station to Dwarka district.
Villagers in Delhi will organize a ‘Gaon Dehat Bachao Rath Yatra’ (Save villages) across the 360 villages of the capital from October 13, announced Palam 360 Khap leader Chaudhary Surender Solanki.
The protesting villagers, led by Palam 360 chief Surender Solanki, were later, towards the evening, detained by the police only to release later.
Palam 360 Khap President Chaudhary Surender Solanki said he was visiting 20 villages daily to enlist the support of the villagers for the event. The villagers have assured him of their presence in large numbers at the panchayat to voice their grievances.
The Delhi Palam 360 Khap chief Surendra Solanki welcomed Phogat and lauded her for defeating a world champion.
During a meeting with various panchayat leaders, Solanki advocated for cleaning and reviving the Yamuna and its smaller tributaries, such as the Sahabi River, which have developed into drains over the years.
Solanki elaborated that about 49 bighas of land has been marked by the DDA and notice to vacate the marked land, which is a densely populated area, has been served.
The campaign aims to create a drug-free Delhi through street plays and other awareness activities.
