While identity of the terrorists and the outfit to which they were affiliated is being ascertained, five AK series rifles, 14 grenades, 500 AK rounds, night vision googles and other huge quantity of war-like stores were recovered.
At around 8.30 am on 3 May, the terrorists were sighted by the troops having infiltrated onto this side of the LOC. Following which an intense firefight ensued resulting in the elimination of the two terrorists.
Army also recovered one AK 47 rifle with two magazines and 21 rounds, one modified AK 56 rifle, one Chinese pistol with one magazine and five rounds, two Chinese hand grenades, two high explosive IEDs and a mobile phone, warm clothing, etc.
