Chasing a target of 125 runs, openers Javeria Khan (35) and Muneeba Ali (25) stitched 58 runs for the first wicket and kept the West Indies out the game.
"Important to put some runs on the board and come out and defend while the sun is out. The dot ball percentage was a bit high and we need to work on that," said Windies skipper Stefanie Taylor after winning the toss.
