The South African is scheduled to hold three-part mental conditioning sessions starting 1st July at the ongoing National Coaching Camp for Indian Men's Core group in SAI, Bengaluru.
In his autobiography entitled, 'Barefoot Coach', Upton mentioned an infamous incident that happened in the Rajasthan Royals dressing room back in 2013.
"I have more memories of time under Sourav because of the support he gave me," the southpaw revealed.
Speaking during a media event here for his new book 'The Barefoot Coach', Upton narrated how the then captains Anil Kumble and Dhoni came up with innovative ideas.
In his book 'The Barefoot Coach', Upton also wrote in length about mental conditioning of sportsmen and also pointed at how former India opener Gautam Gambhir was riddled with insecurities, doubts and vulnerabilities.
Gambhir, who is a now a politician and competing from the East Delhi constituency, told PTI that he is confident that there is "no sinful intention in Upton's views as he is a nice man and in any case his insecurities are well documented".
Upton was also the head coach of Pune Warriors XI in the 2012 season.
