Malaysia Masters: Praneeth, Srikanth, Kashyap make early exits, Saina, Sindhu keep Indian hopes alive

Sindhu raced into the second round of the competition after winning a first-round match which lasted 35 minutes.

It was the first time that the Indian duo was entering the quarterfinals of a Super Series event since they teamed up 10 months ago.

Kashyap overcame Denmark's Victor Svendsen 21-13 21-16, but lost to Japan's Takuma Ueda 4-21 19-21 in 36 minutes.

Kashyap and Prannoy registered straight-game wins to advance to the second round.
