The Oxygen Plant at Shri Kalahasthi near Tirupati is a big plant based on VPSA technology and is capable of generating 16000 litres per minute at 5 bar (direct feed to lines rather than charging).
6,608 Oxygen Concentrators, 3,856 Oxygen Cylinders, 14 Oxygen Generation Plants, 4,330 ventilators/ Bi PAP/ C PAP and more than 3L Remdesivir vials have been delivered/ dispatched, so far.
Speaking on the utility of the oxygen plant, Kejriwal informed that the plant can generate 330 litres of oxygen which can fill 50-60 cylinders, and if used directly, around 33 patients can be treated 24X7.
"With the piping connection and testing ensured through a dry run scheduled for Wednesday, the two plants will start functioning latest by Wednesday evening," it said.
He thanked the Central government for allotting 5 additional oxygen tankers to Delhi and said that within the next one month, the Delhi government will be installing 44 oxygen plants in Delhi, out of which 8 plants will be installed by the Central government.
