The bench also comprising Justice B.V. Nagarathna noted the responsibility of the task force has been formulated in broad terms, wherein one issue was ensuring adequate supply of oxygen to meet requirement of patients.
His remarks in response to a question during a press conference came a day after the Delhi High Court said that it saw no difficulty in the constitution of a high-powered committee (HPC) by the AAP government to probe the deaths caused by the alleged medical oxygen shortage.
He further stated that the Delhi government wanted to probe the deaths reported by hospitals allegedly due to the oxygen shortage but the Centre stalled that initiative to hide its "fallacies".
