“Our ex-servicemen are our pride. The sacrifices made by them for our motherland are beyond comparison. It is our duty as a society to take care of them in the twilight of their lives,” the Bhatinda MP said.
The Chief Minister said, "Heartfelt gratitude to respected PM Narendra Modi for this decision benefiting more than 25 lakh ex-servicemen and their families."
Alleging that the Congress was promising false guarantees, Modi said it is the same party that did not provide bulletproof jackets and snow boots to the army men and road connectivity up to the borders.
The silent protest will be held at the national capital's Mandi House. A large number of Released Emergency Commissioned and Short Service Commissioned officers comprising of 1965 and 1971 war veterans will participate in the silent protest.
