The 10th Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) India Region Conference concluded on Tuesday with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla expressing concern over commotion and acrimony in legislatures and asking presiding officers to ensure that they remain centres of dignified discussions.
Forty-six Presiding Officers including four Chairmen, 25 Speakers, three Deputy Chairmen, and 14 Deputy Speakers of State Assemblies and Union Territory legislatures from the country attended the conference.
The conference will be chaired by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, who is also the Chairperson of the CPA India Region.
