The feature has been rolled out to all Ola users across India, Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
The move is seen as part of Ola’s aim to go public in the next 18-24 months.
Ather Energy was one of the earliest startup investments of Bansal, when he invested USD 0.5 million in the firm as an angel investor in 2014.
The company will launch its inaugural services in Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington
UK launch comes six months after the company launched its services in Australia where it now operates in seven major cities
Ola customers will have the option of donating Re 1 per ride, can claim tax exemption under Section 80G — from January 2019 — against the total contributions
