Chief minister Mamata Banerjee said on Wednesday that the state would initiate employment generation processes once the ongoing case on OBC certificates in the Supreme Court is resolved.
Ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar, political parties are vying with each other to claim a piece of the legacy of Bharat Ratna Karpoori Thakur, who continues to be a prominent figure in Bihar’s OBC politics.
Posting Puja Khedkar plea for hearing on February 14, the bench in its order said, “Till next date of hearing, no coercive steps to be taken against petitioner (Khedkar).”

The Supreme Court on Tuesday fixed September 2 for hearing a batch of petitions challenging the Calcutta High Court ruling cancelling all the Other Backward Class (OBC) certificates issued in West Bengal since 2010.
He said that the state government is positive regarding the demands of the OBC community.
The scheme was so long applicable to the SC and ST categories.
