Yash Dasgupta, husband of actress-turned-politician and Trinamool Congress Lok Sabha member Nusrat Jahan is confident that his wife will not be summoned by Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the corporate entity Seven Sense Infrastructure Private Limited, where she was a director, duping people.
"Why will Bengal people vote for you? What have you done for them?," said Nushrat while addressing a public meeting in her constituency Basirhat.
Trinamool Congress, however, refused to make any comment on the issue and said that the party was keeping a close watch on the developments.
Police sources, however, said that Jahan after celebrating her husband Nikhil Jain's birthday, had taken an overdose of medicine, following which her health condition deteriorated on Sunday night.
Nusrat Jahan’s family in a statement said, 'Nusrat has been admitted in hospital due to a respiratory issue. She has a history of Asthma.'
