One senior doctor must be there in the emergency ward of every government hospital during night shift for the safety and security of medics, nurses, health workers and patients of the concerned healthcare unit.
In a communiqué, the Health Ministry said, “The first meeting of the NTF set up in accordance with directions of the Supreme Court was held today under the chairmanship of the Cabinet Secretary. All members including the Home Secretary and Health Secretary were present at the meeting.”
The panel which will be headed by Cabinet Secretary, Government of India as its Chairperson has been constituted following the Supreme Court's direction on 20th August.
The NTF will comprise nine eminent doctors, cabinet secretary, Union Home Secretary, the Health and Family Welfare Secretary.
