A bench comprising Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, Justice JB Pardiwala, and Justice Manoj Misra agreed to hear the matter on Friday on a mentioning by an advocate, Anas Tanwir, seeking an urgent hearing.
Stating that there was no “systemic breach” in the conduct of the NEET-UG 2024, the Supreme Court on Friday said the National Testing Agency (NTA) should avoid "flip-flops" in conducting the exams and mishaps orchestrated by it was a luxury students cannot afford.
The high-level panel has been constituted by the union Education Ministry in the wake of the row over the NEET UG 2024 examination to bring reforms to the National Testing Agency (NTA) under the chairmanship of Dr K Radhakrishnan.
This followed a Supreme Court order on July 18, which mandated the results be published by July 20.

The apex court issued a notice to the NTA on a petition that alleged an “inconsistent” calculation of marks on the OMR sheets used for the NEET-UG 2024 exam held on May 5, 2024.
The Centre's decision to constitute the seven-member committee comes amid the ongoing crisis around paper leak allegations.
“Please tell the High Courts that notice has been issued now,” the bench told the advocate appearing for the NTA, and ordered, “In the meantime, further proceedings before the High Court shall remain stayed.”
The court stayed the proceedings in petitions filed before three high courts in the NEET-UG examination row.
