GIFT Nifty, which stands as a new benchmark to the growth story of Indian equity market, saw open interest of 399,188 contracts worth $20.84 billion (about Rs 1,74,275 crore), said the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

As many as 30 stocks advanced in the Nifty 50 index while 20 stocks declined. In BSE Sensex, 13 stocks including Coal India, TCS were trading in red while 17 stocks including Yes Bank, Maruti were trading in green at 9.21 a.m.
"The market slid on profit booking despite an initial extension in yesterday's rally as investors remained watchful on global trade and liquidity squeeze by FIIs," said Vinod Nair, Head of Research, Geojit Financial Services.
In Asia, all leading bourses witnessed mild to heavy sell-offs on Tuesday after US-China trade war further intensified. In a retaliatory move, China on Monday said it would raise tariffs on US goods worth nearly USD 60 billion.
The company reported 21.3 per cent growth in revenue to Rs 15,990 crore in the quarter under review compared to Rs 13,178 crore in the year-ago period, as per Ind-AS accounting norms.
The 30-share index was trading 169.69 points, or 0.44 per cent, higher at 38,770.03. Similarly, the broader NSE Nifty was up 38.70 points, or 0.33 per cent, at 11,636.95.
