The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) and Bhutan have discussed undertaking trade collaborations between the NFR and the neighbouring country, supporting the logistics avenues for future linkages, officials said on Tuesday.
The constructions of the railway infrastructure in Noney district are part of the Rs 14,320 crore broad gauge Jiribam-Imphal railway project.
"I requested that the Forest Rights Act (FRA) Act should be fully implemented as per the law in the areas impacted for the construction of Sevoke Rangpo railway line and the Railways must ensure proper compensation and rehabilitation plan for the affected families/villages," Mr Bista said.
