Police arrived to control the situation and the four officials resorted to aerial firing after they were pushed by the crowd.
There is no information about the identification of the killed terrorists yet.
The operation concluded successfully in which five terrorists were killed, but two security personnel also lost their lives, the official added.
"Three officers and a soldier embraced Shahadat (martyrdom) while four soldiers were injured," the statement from the army's media wing the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
