He claimed that Congress' efforts to move this motion only increases people's confidence in his government.
The no-confidence motion was moved by senior Congress leader V.D. Sateeshan.
As per the rules, if the ruling government moves a trust vote then it will supersede the opposition’s no-confidence motion.
The no-confidence motion against Sourav Singh was passed by a margin of 19-0 in the 35-member civic body earlier in the day.
