Coming out as a response to the opposition claims that the Budget favoured Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-ruled states, especially poll-bound Bihar, she said no state had been neglected under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
Parliament was adjourned on Thursday and will reconvene on March 10, in the second and final half of the Budget session.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Thursday introduced the Income Tax Bill 2025 in the Lok Sabha.
"The current amendment ensures that there will be no additional tax burden on people," the Finance Minister said.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today wrote to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to withdraw the 18 per cent GST on life and health insurance policies and to allow deductions in the new tax regime under section 80C and 80D of the Income Tax Act.
Replying to the general discussion on the Budget, she said the Budget is in continuity of the interim Budget and subsumes its features.
Gadkari urged the Finance Minister to "consider the suggestion of Withdrawal of GST on Life and Medical Insurance Premium on priority," particularly as it poses a significant burden on senior citizens.
