This was stated by the defence minister during his virtual address at the MoU exchange ceremony with the Ministry of Education (MoE) and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MoSDE’) in New Delhi.

The first exam of D.EL.Ed was organized by NIOS earlier this year on 31st May, 1st June and 2nd June 2018 across the country in which about 12 Lakh teachers had participated.
