The police have charged them with first-degree murder and conspiracy in the Nijjar case.
MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said India is ready to investigate the killing but is yet to receive any specific and concrete information regarding it from Canada.
India and Canada are currently involved in a major diplomatic row over the killing of 'Khalistan' supporter Hardeep Singh Nijjar in June.
Canada had accused India of killing Khalistani extremist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a Canadian citizen on Canadian soil.
Canadian government also echoed the statement and said that Trudeau updated his British counterpart about the current situation between India and Canada.
Amid the diplomatic spat, New Delhi suspended the visa operations to Canada and sought a reduction in Canadian diplomatic presence in India citing "interference in internal matters".
MEA said that India’s primary focus is on two things - having an atmosphere in Canada, where Indian diplomats can work properly and in achieving parity in terms of diplomatic strength.
Joly's remarks came hours after a report said that India has asked Canada to withdraw 41 of its diplomats posted in India by October 10.
Trudeau had earlier last month accused Indian government agents of a role in the June 18 killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a Canadian citizen.
