INSV Tarini departs New Zealand for double-handed circumnavigation expedition

The Indian Naval Sailing Vessel (INSV) Tarini set sail from Lyttelton Port, New Zealand today, marking the beginning of the third and longest leg of its historic circumnavigation journey. The vessel is now en route to Port Stanley in the Falkland Islands, covering a staggering distance of approximately 5,600 nautical miles (about 10,400 kilometers). This leg of the expedition will also take Tarini to its southernmost point, approximately 56 degrees South.

24 countries confirm participation for inaugural Kho Kho World Cup

Australia, USA, New Zealand, Germany, England, Poland and the Netherlands are among 24 countries that have confirmed their participation in the inaugural Kho Kho World Cup, to be held at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium and Noida Indoor Stadium from January 13-19, 2025.

Southee set to retire from Tests after England series

New Zealand’s legendary seam bowler Tim Southee is set to retire from Test cricket at his home ground, Seddon Park in Hamilton, against England this December. Southee, however, made himself available for the World Test Championship final at Lord's in June if New Zealand qualify.
