As per the draft roll, the total number of voters in Telangana state stood at 3,06,42,333, wherein 1,53,73,066 are male voters and 1,52,51,797 are female voters and 2,133 voters belong to the third gender.
Union Minister of State for Finance Bhagwat Karad on Monday urged the need to incorporate 'new voters' into the banking sector by opening their bank accounts.
This showed a net increase of 7,72,872 electors in the final electoral roll, i.e. a 10.19 percent net increase of the registered electors over the Draft Roll.
